Appease Local Deities and Naga the Buddhist Way

Although they cannot be seen by the normal human eye, it does not mean that they do not exist. They are everywhere and as Buddhists, we are taught to be kind and to respect unseen beings.

The diverse races and cultures in multicultural Malaysia result in many different practices to invoke, propitiate and appease our unseen “friends”. In this talk, Pastor Niral Patel presents the Buddhist way to appease the local deities and Nagas.

About the Speaker

Pastor Niral, a student of H.E. the 25th Tsem Rinpoche, was living in the United Kingdom when he stumbled across Rinpoche’s Youtube channel by accident. Fascinated by Buddhism and Kechara’s activities, he visited Malaysia in 2012 and decided to join Kechara full-time in 2013. He took formal ordination as a pastor in 2014 and is currently serving as a Buddhist pastor who also writes for www.tsemrinpoche.com.
